100 Miles of Prayer
This September, our co-founder and CEO, Vicki York, is stepping out in faith—literally. She’s walking 10 miles a day for 10 days, all across Clarksville in a powerful journey we’re calling 100 Miles of Prayer. Each mile is a prayer for the guests we serve, and the ability to serve them with the support of our community.
But this isn’t just a physical challenge—it’s a movement. A call to awareness. A call to action. As national policies shift and create new challenges for nonprofits like ours, the need for steady, reliable support has never been greater. That’s why we’ve set a bold goal: to welcome 500 new monthly donors, each committing $30 per month or more.
Your monthly gift becomes a lifeline for thousands—fueling meals, groceries, and hope, day after day. Will you walk alongside Vicki by becoming a monthly donor today?
Let’s come together, one mile, one community and one prayer at a time.💚
About Manna Café
For 15 years, Manna Café Ministries has been a lifeline in Montgomery and Stewart Counties—standing in the gap for individuals and families facing hunger. In just the past five years, we’ve distributed more than 140,000 grocery carts full of fresh food, served over 185,000 hot, nutritious meals, and rescued more than 5 million pounds of fresh, viable food that would have otherwise clogged our landfills.
When you give to Manna Cafe, 100% of your donations stay right here in Montgomery and Stewart Counties, and 95.9 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to our programs that serve those in need.
Every cart, every meal, every pound tells a story of hope—and none of it would be possible without the support of people in our community.
Stand in the Gap with Us
Your gift today will help stock the shelves, keep our doors open, and ensure that our neighbors continue to receive the support they need—both physically and spiritually.
Will you join us with a gift today—so Manna Café can continue standing in the gap for our community?

Acceptance and Affection
Today’s route took me past a spot that’s often occupied by a woman who’s been part of Clarksville’s homeless community for years. Her personality is ... interesting. She invents wild stories and is sometimes belligerent. Some might say she’s a bit difficult to love....
Gratitude and Faith
Fifty miles down, fifty to go. As I’ve roamed all over town these past five days, I’ve run into some of my homeless friends. This got me thinking about 2007, when Kenny started taking me with him to visit a huge homeless camp in Nashville. Before our initial visit,...
Pray and Listen
As you probably know by now, the focus of my 100-mile journey is prayer — for Manna Cafe, for our city, and for the people who call this place home. I’ve also spent time praying about my own life and future and other random things. Still, you might wonder how a person...
Perspectives and Priorities
Ten miles down, 90 to go. Hi friends! As I walked and prayed for Clarksville and Manna Café this morning, I thought about how fitting it is that this 100-mile trek aligns almost perfectly with Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. Why? Because I love fresh beginnings: a...
The Why:
My late husband and founder of Manna Cafe, Kenny York, raised awareness about Clarksville’s homeless population by doing something unusual: three separate times, for two weeks at a time, he lived as a homeless man. He refused all creature comforts, braved extreme...
